Intone does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics service. Everything the app does happens on your iPhone.
Intone needs microphone access to detect the pitch of your voice. Audio is analysed in memory, in real time, and then discarded. Intone does not record audio, does not write audio to disk, and does not transmit audio anywhere. There is no way to play back or export anything you sang, because nothing is kept.
You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings › Intone › Microphone. The app will continue to open; the tuner and warm-ups simply will not be able to hear you.
Intone saves the following locally, using Apple's on-device database:
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server operated by us. If your iPhone is included in an iCloud or encrypted local backup, this data may be included in that backup, under Apple's control and covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting the app deletes all of it, permanently.
Intone Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see your payment details, your name, or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app one thing only: whether a valid subscription is currently active. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Intone contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind. The App Tracking Transparency prompt is never shown because there is nothing to ask you about.
Intone is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either. There is no messaging, no user-generated content, and no way for one user to contact another.
Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or erase. The data described above is on your own device and entirely under your control — you can view it in the app and delete it by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address and the date at the top will change. If a future version of Intone ever collects anything, that change will be described here before it ships, and in the app's release notes.
