Runway does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics service. Everything the app does happens on your iPhone.
Runway does not connect to a bank, a card, an accounting service or any other financial provider. It has no integration with Plaid, TrueLayer, Open Banking or anything similar, and it never asks for banking credentials. The only numbers Runway knows are the ones you type into it yourself.
Runway saves the following locally, using Apple's on-device database and the standard iOS settings store:
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server operated by us. If your iPhone is included in an iCloud or encrypted local backup, this data may be included in that backup, under Apple's control and covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting the app deletes all of it, permanently. There is no copy anywhere else.
Runway requests no system permissions at all. It does not ask for your contacts, your location, your camera, your microphone, your photos, your calendar, notifications or tracking. There is nothing for you to grant or revoke.
Runway's tax set-aside uses a percentage that you supply. The app contains no tax rules for any country and does not report anything to any tax authority. It is a planning tool, not tax advice, and it does not replace an accountant.
Runway Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see your payment details, your name, or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app one thing only: whether a valid subscription is currently active. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Runway contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind. The App Tracking Transparency prompt is never shown because there is nothing to ask you about.
Runway is rated 4+. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either. There is no messaging, no user-generated content shared with anyone, and no way for one user to contact another.
Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or erase. The data described above is on your own device and entirely under your control — you can view it in the app, edit it, and delete it by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address and the date at the top will change. If a future version of Runway ever collects anything, that change will be described here before it ships, and in the app's release notes.
