Common questions

Does Tally send my calendar anywhere?

No. Tally reads your calendar through Apple's EventKit on the device and does the arithmetic locally. Nothing is uploaded. There is no account and no server to upload it to.

Why does it want calendar access?

The whole app is an analysis of events you already have. Without read access to the calendar there is nothing to count. Tally never creates, edits or deletes an event.

Can I choose which calendars are counted?

Yes. Work, personal and any subscribed calendars can each be included or excluded, so a shared holiday calendar does not distort your week.

My totals look wrong.

All-day events and overlapping events are the usual cause — check how those are set in Settings. If it still looks wrong, email me a description of the event and I will look at it.

What do I get for paying?

The free app audits the current week. Pro opens the full history, multi-week and month comparisons, and custom categories.

Subscriptions

Tally Pro is $3.99/month or $19.99/year, and both start with a 7-day free trial. The app is genuinely useful before you pay anything — nothing that is free today moves behind the paywall later.

To cancel, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next charge. Apple handles all billing; I cannot see your payment details or issue refunds, but Apple can, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
