No. Pitch detection runs on the phone's own processor. Intone has no account, no server and no sync — put it in aeroplane mode and every feature still works.
Nowhere. Audio is analysed in memory as you sing and is never written to disk, never uploaded and never added to any library. Only the resulting numbers — how close to the note you were — are saved.
It has to hear you to tell you whether you are flat. That is the only permission Intone asks for, and it is used for nothing else.
Check you are in a quiet room and not too close to the phone. Very loud input clips and confuses any pitch detector. If a specific note is consistently wrong, email me and say which one.
The free app gives you real practice with scored feedback. Pro adds the full exercise library, unlimited session history and the progress charts over time.

To cancel, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next charge. Apple handles all billing; I cannot see your payment details or issue refunds, but Apple can, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
