No. No account, no sync, no server. Your shift pattern is stored on the phone and goes nowhere else.
Light is the strongest signal your body clock has. Getting bright light at the right hour, and avoiding it at the wrong one, is what actually shifts a sleep schedule. Rota works out when those hours are for your rota.
No. Rota is a planning tool built on published circadian-rhythm research. It does not diagnose anything and it is not a substitute for a doctor. If shift work is damaging your health, see one.
You can build a custom rota shift by shift. If your pattern still will not fit, email me the pattern and I will see what is missing.
Free plans the week ahead on one rota. Pro adds unlimited saved rotas, the long-range plan across rotating patterns, and the full history.
Rota Pro is $6.99/month or $49.99/year, and both start with a 7-day free trial. The app is genuinely useful before you pay anything — nothing that is free today moves behind the paywall later.
To cancel, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next charge. Apple handles all billing; I cannot see your payment details or issue refunds, but Apple can, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Rota collects nothing. Read the full privacy policy.
